Good News from Homeland

It’s been some time that I’ve been away from Singapore.
So naturally, with a busy-tight schedule here in Thailand, I’ve kind of lost touch with many news, information and updates of school, NPCC and SANA. Nonetheless, yesterday I received a piece of very good news way back from Singapore.

I have been promoted to Senior Cadet Inspector.
First person to inform me was actually Steven, who has also been promoted in the recent mass promotion exercise. Though Dom Sir and Mr Chng did come and break the news to me too. Appreciate their thoughtfulness. =)

But I have a mixed feeling of weirdness and guilt-sort-of. The plan was supposed to be applying for the promotion and extension together so that the 3 of us, Abdullah, Hanisah and myself, can carry on to work together in maintaining the Unit and the Area. But now it seems like only my efforts have been recognised by HQ.

Abdullah was saying that perhaps he had learnt to let go. Hanisah actually forgotten about it. First thing I felt was, a relief that they are no longer troubled by whatever problems the Unit may face, and will be able to move on with life easily. But then, I felt disheartened as well, to know that I may be carrying on alone. 7 years of partnership, feel sad that it may end soon. Just hope they don’t leave that soon.

Well, what to do. When you have to go, you have to go. It’s a very famous quote. No one can deny that will happen ultimately.

So, anyway, back to the attachment.

I’m quite delighted that I’m actually inching forward to another step. I’m just trying to confirm the identities of my samples. So long as the identities are correct, that means I’m only 2 experiments away from the completion of my project. Good for me, sad for Regina. Hahas, new project for her.

I’ve got nothing to do now actually. Waiting for incubation that will end in 1 and a half hours time, which is halfway through my lunch. Not going to care, cos I can put longer. hahas. Then it will be gel run after lunch, so that means I have another 40 minutes to rot.

My supervisor will be in Seminar the whole day today, and in town for meeting tomorrow, and on Thursday we have Press Conference. So that means my whole week practically, has nothing much to do. LOL. So good right?

But I don’t like!
